Wonderful Youth Trek

It has almost been a month since Branden and I went on our pioneer trek with our stake, so I am right on time recording about it. It truly was a wonderfully spiritual event. So many of our stakes youth are strong in more ways then one. I won't really go into lots of details or it will take up pages and pages, but know that the experience was wonderful. We had 8 wonderful "children", 5 girls and 3 boys. Each one made our family great. I was thankful that none of our children ever gave us any problems. They all got in there and did their part. If Branden or I asked them to do something, they were right there doing it. Thank you to their real parents for raising them to be respectful youth. I wish I could figure out how to make my real children at home do that. It is great to see that it is possible. It was hard to be away from my own kids and was so glad to see them when we got home. It took about a week to recover my sleep. Sunday was truly a day of rest in our home. I think I was only awake for church and that was it. Over all I would do this again in a heartbeat. That is saying a lot for me. I wasn't overwhelmingly excited to go. The biggest reason was because of the lack of sleep. I also can't wait for my own kids to have this opportunity. I hope that they will get to experience some of the miracles that we did.
