I am very religious and most every post will have a lot of talk about religion. That is how my healing has happened and will continue to happen. I am able to get up each morning and move forward because of the hope that Jesus Christ, my Savior, has given me.

Unwanted visitor!
Well at least it wasn't a rattler! Last year around this time (maybe a little earlier in the summer) we found a King Snake in our front yard. I acted like a grown up and locked the door and called over to the house Adriana was spending the night at and said that she couldn't come home for anything because I was not opening the door. Well we have had our first encounter this year. The kids were out back letting our female dogs out of their kennels to run. Well, Adriana came running in the house screaming, "yuck it just went over my foot, snake, over my foot." Branden hates snakes as much as I do, but nothing is allowed around our children. So Branden and I go running out back. First was to get the dogs in their kennels (dogs and snakes don't mix, although our dogs are snake broke), second was getting Carsen from trying to see it, then Branden got a shovel and went to find it. Not knowing what kind it was a little unnerving. We know it wasn't a rattler and are thinking it was a Gardner Snake. Needless to say Branden flung that thing quite far. He didn't kill it, unless the land killed it. I am so grateful that it turned out to be just an everyday snake that is yucky as opposed to dangerous.
