Carsen

Our only boy and middle child is turning 8 toady. Branden gave him a great gift call the FLU! Branden came home from work on Tues looking not quite a corps. He wasn't running a fever but cold and calmly, back to the corps thing. So he went to bed and did his best not to throw-up. By Wed. morning he was fine and back at work, well yesterday Carsen went about his day and did his piano lessons. As we were driving home he kept saying he didn't feel good. Being the great mom that I am I said buck up because you are going to do your chores. (I really just thought he was trying to get out of them. I know I am in the running for mother of year.) Well I told him to go clean the bathroom since his clothes were all over it. I go in there a few minutes later and he is laying on the floor by the toilet. And then a few minutes later well you can guess. So luckily today he is better, but school rules say that he has to be throw-up free for 24 hours, so he gets his birthday off. I am grateful that Carsen was sent to our family. He keeps up laughing and his determination is unmatched. He teaches us so many things including how important the gospel is in our lives. We never miss church unless there is an illness or we are traveling. When there is an illness those that aren't sick still go. But if we tried to "ditch" Carsen wouldn't hear of it. He is determined to be worthy to have the Priesthood. I wish I could say that Branden and I are the ones that did that, but I know he came with that light. We have just been honored to help mold it. We love you Carsen and continue to look forward to seeing you grow.

This picture was taken on New Year's Eve at my mother's house. He is not drunk just really tired. They stayed up until midnight so they could ring in the new year.
