I didn't think I lived in the Windy City!

I am beginning to think that Safford should be called the Windy City. I haven't ever been to Chicago and so I don't know how bad it is there, but for the past week or longer (I've lost track of how long) the wind has blown and blown. Not a breeze, but at least 30-50mph winds. If you drive by an open field you can't see through the dust. There truly is no point in trying to do hair. And the allergies from all the blowing dust, pollen and just random people (OK a little dramatic) flying through the air. Half the time wearing contacts is a big mistake. I have to keep telling myself that wind serves as a very important purpose. When it does stop it does make it clear and the mountains around here almost look not real because of their clarity. I just hope our tree outside can hold up to it. I am just glad it isn't hot outside. It has kept us cool and held off the hot temperatures. I keep trying to find the good things about it.

During the first year that we lived in Maryland it was so windy that I would regret it when I spent time fixing my hair -- just used ponytails instead! It hasn't been like that all the time since then, but it does come & go -- its been a windy week for us this week as well.

LOVE the new family picture -- too cute! And Jeff says, "hi".
