Spring

I love that spring is upon us. But I will admit that I have a bitter/sweet relationship with it. Spring means so many wonderful things. New beginnings being the biggest, but in Arizona it means just around the corner is the ever so dreadful on heat, but the other thing it means is all the critters waking up from their winter long naps. The first things are already out, those pesky little ants. All I have ever heard them called are "piss ants". Now I know that ants serve a purpose in the wilderness, but in my yard (even though it looks a little wild still) they are nothing but a nuisance. And they are a sign that worse things are to come. The other night as I was pulling out of our yard I saw a mouse run across the entrance. I am not a fan of those either, mainly because they are filthily. But if those are out then the things that eat those are coming out. I am not a fan of anything that has less then 4 limbs or more then 4 limbs. But we will carry on and enjoy the beauty that spring has to offer. Namely the cardinals and other red birds that have flocked to our yard. Red is a great color for birds I have decided.

I've heard of people being called piss ants, but never ants being called that...hmmmm. That makes me do a lot of thinking, which happens to be hard for my brain.!
