Webelos

So it took about 2 months to receive a calling in our new ward. I just figured I would be doing some kind of music or nursery. Imagine my surprise when they call me to be the Webelos leader. They must have not gotten the memo that Branden is the scouter (he is an assistant scout master over the 14-15 yr. old) and not me. So I got about 3 weeks to panic before I got officially called. The first thing you have to do is watch a video on safety for the boys and then take a 25 question quiz. By the end of the quiz I had missed 5 (don't get me started) and was having a melt down. I never was around scouting growing up. With a sister and a dad that was only in YM once as a sect. and I think it was on a stake level, scouting was never something I thought about. I have watched Branden do it for years and he does it perfectly. I have to say that 10 year old boys are so funny. They do make me laugh and I am having fun. I am learning very quickly how to do scouts. It is not that bad, but I have been thrown out of my comfort zone big time. I may even be enjoying myself. (ssshhh, don't tell anyone.)
