Another Ooops!!!!

So last week was just a week that should have been just skipped over. Monday was good, but then it just got crazy. Tuesday came around and I found out that I needed to put together a spread sheet for the pinewood derby. (Anyone who has ever been involved in that knows that is no small task.) I had to work that day and didn't get to start it until just before 3. Start time was 6. It did get done, but not to my liking. I have this thing about perfection when it comes to things of this nature. All I can say is that it worked, nothing more. We got done and home around 8:15ish. Then Wed. rolled around. I was able to get my house cleaned up and got caught up which was a good thing. That night was good (so I guess the week had its high points). Adriana got to attend "New Beginnings" along with me. Only problem was that Branden had YM also that night. So Carsen and Emmy got to go play in the Nursery room at the church. I am glad that my kids are behaved enough to not destroy the church. Well, that ends the nice part of the week. Thursday rolled around. I got the kids home from school and ready for piano. We went to piano. Then we came home. I told the kids to go out and take care of the animals. I was unloading something from the car when Adriana comes running around the corner of the house yelling "Mom, mom there are baby bunnies." That statement is never good when you assumed that you had to female (or 2 male) rabbits. Surprise would be putting it mildly. In my defense we have had these 2 rabbits since mid-December. The gestation period for a rabbit is 25-30 days. I never swore once. I am proud of myself. Needless to say by Friday all of them were dead. I'm a horrible person I know. But we were not prepared. It took us the rest of the afternoon to figure out which one was the female. I will say that it is not that difficult now that we know what to look for. I can whelp puppies, but bunnies are a whole different story. We now know what to do and have separated the rabbits. We do plan on having some at a latter date and we will be prepared. But I didn't sleep that night. I was up checking on them every 2 hours (it was almost like having a human newborn). We did bring them in the house and all I can say is, do rabbits ever sleep. That thing drank and moved around all night. Noisy thing. Friday was getting Branden ready for his camp out and getting each child set with their activity. Carsen and Emmy got to watch a movie on the laptop in the family room under the tent they made. Adriana and I pulled an a nighter (how I stayed up is beyond me) and watched 2-4 Twilight movies. I have read the books and seen 1-3, but had not yet seen #4. To tell you the truth they just aren't that important to me. Adriana had only seen 1 so her and I had a viewing party. I thought it would be a lot worse then it was. I am not saying I would let my younger kids watch it, but there is just as bad shows on TV in the evening. She was not all that impressed. I told her that she could read the books and then the movies would actually more interesting, not necessarily better, but easier to follow and understand. Saturday was cleaning and going to buy a hot water heater. So I guess looking back on the week it was really not that bad, it just seemed busy and crazy. The bunnies are what sent me over the edge. I would post pictures, but 1) I haven't found my camera and 2) those things are ugly. Naked mole rat.
